06 Sep The Livestock Handling Cup
The annual Kimberley Pilbara Cattlemen’s Association Livestock Handling Cup (KPCA) 2019 was largely attended this year with 50 stockpeople in attendance to showcase their skills, demonstrating low-stress stock handling techniques for both people and cattle.
The Cattle Collective were in attendance at the cup, highlighting the importance of animal welfare, which begins at a grassroots level on properties. The Cattle Collective was collecting footage for the upcoming launch of the new brand and Dr Holly Ludeman the Managing Director also entered into a team. The Cattle Collective aims to show the animal welfare imperatives at each part of the supply chain and stations are the heart of the cattle industry in Northern Australia. Every time livestock are handled it must be a positive, efficient and safe experience for animals and people. This event is a great chance for young an old from around the region to get together and share their skills, stories and learn from each other.
